I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. Well, I'm still hard at work on my book illustrations and I try to fit in these cool CG Images when I have a few spare moments. I've also started a blog where I can post my random images at: http://taranakano.blogspot.com/

Stay tuned because I have more exciting projects planned... I just need more free time... some how. Losing sleep doesn't seem to work in my favor very well... but it's hard not to when your full of ideas. :0)

Well, good news.
I've been asked to create tons of new work. Some will be end up being gifts to some large energy companies and another will be for a novel that is currently in development.
They all want their pictures to be 'funny and comical' so I should have an interesting time developing these pieces. (I was really stumped on the energy companies for a while... how do you make them entertaining?) I finally came up with some ideas. I'm in the design stage right now so it may be a while before we see some finished peices. I will post some of my concepts as I move along to keep everyone in the fold. Keep checking in!

Well, I've decided to take a little break from some of my other projects to work on yet another project. :0) This will be a relatively fast project so it will be a refreshing break from my other pictures. Wow! Well, people are now reading my blog so I feel obligated to write more often.

Well, I’m still working on the pieces mentioned in my last blog. However, my Da Vinci Style plane is now posted.
I’m still bouncing all over the map when it comes to my images but I have been focusing in on the map and the design for my client’s logo. He wanted me to develop a little background scene to my initial design. I’ve finally come up with a few variations so I will begin to flesh them out using 3D studio max and Illustrator to see which he will choose as his favorite.

I’ve also been buried in tutorials. I’m constantly trying to fill my small brain with more knowledge; convinced that it will make my work stronger. Ahhhh… if I could only know it all. :0) I’m planning another intense tutorial weekend.
Unfortunately, I can only do one thing at a time so it is likely that I won’t have a lot to show you after this weekend.
However, I hope to have my map finished and I will be able to post that.

Okay so I'm bad...
I tend to wait to see if anyone is reading my blog before I fill out the next entry; so you'll have to check back more often to see what I'm working on. :0)

Truth be told, I'm all over the map at the moment. I won a contract to develop a logo for a new company; I'm developing that for my client. I'm working on a really sweet cartoon piece, featuring a very little witch. I love this one, it is truly adorable.

I am also working on a Da Vinci style plane... also very cartoonish at the moment. I haven't decided if I want to keep it that way or to push some realism upon it. I'll keep playing with it to see what my eye likes the best.

I'm also working on some mermaids. I had them up for a brief moment before, but I wasn't satisfied with them; I brought them back down to work on them a bit more. :0)

Oh yes, and I'm working on a map and a 3D gingerbread house... which I may decide to animate... still thinking about the animation aspect. You should see a new picture soon though. I am focusing on one at the moment. :0)
